During the discovery meeting, you will meet with our home counselor, who will discuss your ideas with you and help you understand how your wish list will affect your budget and schedule. So what does your wish list say about your dream home? Create your own list and then plan a face-to-face or video analysis of the project. How much will it cost? How long will it take? What about permits? Where do we start? Get the answers you need to get your single-family home project up and running. They’re your “nice to have. “Maybe it’s a fireplace in the bedroom, a high quality appliance in the kitchen or an extra bedroom. They are its “essential owners. “It could be a kitchen with an island big enough to accommodate six people, or an accessible home to age in place. Perhaps it’s a cathedral ceiling or a wooden cave with a fireplace or a private suite for mothers-in-law. Write in the first column everything that is non-negotiable in the house of your dreams. It could be a radiant floor, a butler’s pantry or a music room overlooking the water. It could be an elevator, a five-person garage or a recording studio. Then pull out a sheet of paper and divide it into three columns.
