I created this blog even selfishly to heal my own wounds

I created this blog, even selfishly, to heal my own wounds, on my way to myself after twenty-eight years of marriage and three adult children, but also as a place where I can share advice and stories and support the millions of people who have unexpectedly found themselves on this path of frequent healing. Life has as a way of taking us on a journey full of bumps and bruises and unexplained journeys we never thought we would have to make. Y on this dusty road, we wander off the path, make mistakes, abandon part of ourselves, and get lost in what we call life. Until the day the unthinkable happens; the only person you ever thought you could protect from the storm becomes the storm itself. It leaves us traumatized and confused and tries to find out who we are without our other half, for better or worse. No one is going to get married thinking it will end in divorce. Maybe it was your decision to leave, but a divorce is difficult anyway. Maybe you saw it coming, or maybe you just had to breathe to survive the moment. To find a way out of the divorce. In fact, most of us think I’ll never do it, that we love each other, that we can go through anything.
